    People still use Hotmail? :o
  2. 42 out of 50. FAIL Well I do drive on the wrong side of the road.....
  3. Sorry the little lads not well. Nothing worse than seeing your child sick. Sending good thoughts his way for a speedy recovery.
  4. RIP to all who fought what was to end all wars. May we never forget them.
  5. What ever killed it sure startled it.
  6. It would be an all around setup. I pick my spots based on where I can get to easily not what type of fish are there. Usually it's Bluegills (similar to your Bream I think), small chub, perch, or trout. Most fish are well less that 2 pounds in size. I usually fish with monofilament rated between 4lb and 8lb. My closest spot is a canal in my town. Cheers, Colin!
  7. I'd be fishing rivers and small streams with it. I have plenty of fixed spool gear, I've been fishing as long as I can remember I am willing to do that but I'd also like to try a centrepin as well. Thanks for all the suggestions so far, keep them coming, they're all helpful. Jim
  8. Thanks pavman, I'd love to get it from Bass Pro but they don't carry this type of thing over here. All they have are one or two heavy rods for salmon and one centrepin reel that's £110. Is there a less expensive rod and reel you could recommend and an online shop or two that might carry them? I've got no problem ordering from over your way, I do it all the time.
  9. Hi All, I was hoping I could get some advise on wether or not this is a decent rod and reel combo to try float fishing. I'm in the US and this isn't popular here (some folks float fish for Salmon but it's a small number) but it looks like it would work well. Any thoughts are much appreciated. http://www.ebay.com/itm/120728718582?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_3451wt_1096 Advise on the price would be welcome as well. Cheers, Jim
  10. Great looking dog and fantastic shot!
  11. Tis true but when I bought it we were paying about $1.05/ gallon or about 67p The Acura is much better although it takes premium (93 octane) so it stings a hair but nothing like the V8 monsters from Detroit.
  12. I thought it would be fun to see pics of everyone's rigs. I'll start off with mine: My first vehicle, I miss this thing like a old friend that's passed: 1994 GMC 1/2 ton Pickup: Had this to haul the dogs in for a few year. Nice looking but I sold it for part of the down payment on my house: 1996 Ford Bronco XL - This was the last year they made these: Bought this when we had our first child. It was a BEAST but at 7 mile/gallon it was a victim to the rising gas costs. 1993 3/4 ton Chevrolet Suburban with a 6.4 litre V8: Traded in my pickup and the 3/4 ton suburban on this one: 1999 1/2 ton Chevrolet Suburban 52720015 by jmooney776, on Flickr Had this as a spare for a while. It was my Dad's and I traded him a laser printer for it. It had 340,000 on it when I got and I ran it to 379,000 before I sold it. 1993 Jeep Cherokee Sport After the 1999 Suburban blew it's head gaskets I deceide it was time for a little more luxury since I drive about 80 miles/day. This is my current motor: 2001 Acura MDX So let see what you've all got. Post 'em up!
  13. It wasn't necessarily a reaction time failure. It was a procedural failure. The standard approach to hijacking was to placate them, wait to see what Middle Eastern country they took the plane to, give them some political prisoners in exchange for the passengers and everyone is happy. There was no conception of this type of event. There are bases up and down the east coast, they could have intercepted them easily if anyone had thought to. The other problem then is what to do when you intercept. They could have stopped them from hitting the towers but likely only by destroying the airliners with air-to-air missiles over one of the most densely populated areas of the US. There was no way to win that day I'm afraid.
  14. Jeez....next your going to be blaming us for Justin Beiber (he's Canadian BTW) Looks nice but my question is how do you get the thing back on the carrier when the directional jet and/or the vertical turbine is damaged? There is always the ditch and let a runabout pick you up but that's not really cost effective. BTW those were likely Marine Corps pilots. The ranks on the cockpits were not Naval ranks and the Air Force doesn't fly off carriers, but most aircraft carriers have Marine contingents aboard.

    JFK

I think LHO was hired by someone. He knew something of who was behind it, that's why Jack Ruby did him in. Victim dead and "killer" dead no case could be made. 50/50 Jack Ruby comes away as a hero for taking out the guy that shot a much loved President. I wouldn't have trouble believing the KGB was behind it. Between the Cuba incident, the US track record on trying to halt the spread of communism (Korea) and possibly prevent interference with communism in Vietnam and other parts of Asia. The Red countries had a lot to gain by taking out a US President who had shown a backbone to the communists. Not to mention having just finished with the Korean war which came closely on the heels of WWII we had a very large and well trained army at that point.
  16. We have a special category for cases like this. They would be charged with "Vehicular Manslaughter" or possibly since they were racing it could go to "Vehicular Homocide" since the deaths resulted from an illegal act (racing, DUI,etc).
  17. I've used country attire before and I'm in the US and they were excellent to work with.
  18. They especially love the chance to make an example of someone in these cases. A few years ago they hauled a 10 year old girl into court and got her fined $220,000. They went after a grandmother who downloaded the theme song to a kids tv show for her grandson to listen to. This is just another chance for them to go "look what we can do if you pirate music or movies"
  19. Sending good thoughts your way mate.

    Crab Trap

Sounds like a great deal mate. I'll take 2 in case I ever make it over that way.
  21. Yes, no one has ever made a false accusation against a sportsman just to be vindictive. Hunt monitors are just there to make sure the horses drink enough water too. You're support is underwhelming....
  22. So sorry for your loss.
  23. I was thinking the same thing! Glad I'm not the only one as well!
