I have found it best to let my 2 labs lie on bare wooden boards. Dogs are housed in a double insulated box which in turn is inside an insulated shed. More important to be draught free and dry I think.

Agree on both points. Had a couple of 22-250, now use a 223. I have never had to reject a shot because I no longer had the 250.

Agreed, let her be a pup. Everything is a game at that age. She will probably lift a retrieve and drop it, run around you with it, and do things you never thought she would do. Dont rush nothing.

Good shooting Andy, is that a set of quad sticks you are using ? Havn't tried them yet but was thinking of trying a set, bipod prone I am steady as a rock but off shooting sticks when I look through scope it's like I am on the big dipper lol !!
