Dogs are neither naughty or stubborn, they just get confused. When confused a soft dog will generally down tools & do nothing for fear of getting it wrong. They can be hard to deal with as sooner or later you're going to have to make their minds up for them & force them to do things. This is when it can all go seriously tits up if you choose the wrong time.

One quick way to ruin your Trial dog, you want to try taking them on grouse, 3 days & they're wild. However it is a great way to gain experience & game sense for a young dog if you lack regular shooting opportunities. You can tighten them up again later.
-
Just don't feed it for a couple of days, it'll eat owt you put in front of it.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCizOiPOIYPGFiMuwuR_5pKQ this goon offers dog training locally to me, he has stopped advertising gun dog training but he still takes money from pet owners.

If you pass comment / disagree with the **** they're posting all that happens is they block you & then carry on their merry way spouting any old **** they fancy. There's some absolute stars on Facebook.

As I posted get yourself on myKC & you'll find this is not what really happens
-
I think you ought to spend some time browsing around myKC & you'll find that this is not true.

Thanks, he's a grand dog with a bit of size about him & will make up into a nice worker in the right hands.

What most folk don't realise is that Uncle Jimmy can do regular 300 yard rabbit head shots with his .22lr & backs every winner on Channel 4 on a Saturday.

I kinda thought the thread was about paying £500 for a X bred gun dog
-
So you'd be quite happy to ante up £500 on a Sprocker, that's got a serious chance of turning out like a Springer, when you can buy a KC Registered Springer that's from good stock for £350? Another saying for you, bull**** baffles brains.
-
X-bred dogs - no need to KC reg - no restriction to 4 litters - no need to health test - more bucks for the breeder. What's the one about rolling a **** in glitter?

I'm near Scotch Corner, just off the A1

I thought after the previous 2 posts it was quality information

Well the first three things you teach a dog is recall, recall & recall. Without it you're ****ed.
-
You're doing it the wrong way round, you can teach it all you want but if it ****s off, it's useless. Teach the dog that all it's fun is with you & stop it ********* off, then start teaching it other things.

Good to see a sensible response..........................

Well being good at Trials may just be in his genes

He is persistent. This was the first video that I shot yesterday. http://vid1370.photobucket.com/albums/ag244/Perce82/2014-08-02152637_zps479b6101.mp4

I looked on MyKC. It'll have to be the dog with no name!
-
Are you going to call him Clint?
