To actually answer your question, Or begin to.

The hatsans, are like marmite, people love them and hate them..

The Pro's are

Low cost,

come with chokes etc,

3 yr warranty,

if kept clean will shoot very well.

The biggest disadvantage is their reputation, I suggests you try one, if you like it go for it,

303 or 391 all the way  :good::yes::good::oops::good:

Forget the others ,get a Beretta.

It will always work ,look good ,sell, and will be great to fire.

Buy one ,they are the only way to go.

One of mine is very good and costs £550 from a dealer ,was not that old and had not been fired much.

chokes ,abs case ,key etc.(wood stock)

Go for a shorter barrell than you have on your o/u .

I like 28s.

sorry about spelling ,but buy a beretta.

Iam not trying to sell you one ,please take free advice and buy the best.

Hi,

just said this to the really nice people that bought my Beretta Urika. If you shoot the Beretta and shoot a Hatsan it feel like the difference between a 20 year old Skoda and a Rolls Royce.

I fired my mates Hatsan and prompty told him that as it cycled it felt like cocking a 50 cal machine gun. You could almost feel all the metal grating against each other.

Don't get me wrong, he kills a lot of pigeons with it. But for £500 you could do it in a little bit more style.

Just to add my tuppenny bit......

One of the guns I use more and more for pigeon shooting these days is a Webley & Scott 812b. £350 brand new and it never missed a beat, having fired LOTS of cartridges over the last year or so. For pigeon shooting it's great and saves my better guns from getting scratched, etc. I imagine you could pick up a used one for a good price.

Les knows his stuff.

To put some flesh on the bone.........if you want only 2.3/4 chamber get a 303, if you want a 3 inch chamber get a AL390 and still have change, get a AL391 if you want to blow more money but many say the AL 390 is better because of the materials in the trigger mechanism.

It has to be an AL391 mate. I got mine about 4 years ago and it is the best gun I have ever had in my hands, has never misfired once. The only criticisim I have is that the finish on the action is starting to corrode and as far as I am aware this is a common fault with some of these Beretta's as I know a couple of my mates had the same problem, doesn't affect the shooting though.

Bought a 302 a few months back from chap on here, only downside is that I havent been able to use it as much as I'd like... Very nice gun, weighted well, points nice and cycles no problem at all. Does the job, I love it :hmm: I also have a Winchester 101 O/U and if I faced a choice I'd favour the Beretta over it any day even though I've had the Winny for 10 years and the Beretta a few months.

Just adding my two penith

Out of my guns I favor my Beretta AL931 most of all, it was in the shop with a tag of £850 but knocked them down to £600 there are bargins to be had, I was lookin at two or three semi's new and second hand but I am so glad I went for the beretta there is very little kick and it seems a lot quieter than my o/u...

Beretta all the way buddy resale on these guns is and always has been very good so you wont loose money (if you ever sell it that is)

as they say the choice is yours...

I would go for a beretta A303 if you want a good cheap semi auto. I bought mine for £300 and it had hardly been used, was offered £300 by a dealer few weeks back but would never sell it ;) so as has allready been said they hold there value

Lovely guns too nice and pointably

Another one that has not been mentioned is the Stoeger M2000.

Mine was an ex-demo that I got for £400 but they're only £480-90 new.

MC, Black synthetic, wood or camo.

They use a Benelli licenced inertia action so they are reliable and easy to keep clean.

I only put this up here in case you happen across one that I can say yes, they are good guns.
