al4x
with all the bickering there ought to be some opposition set up if anyone wants to do so and wants a name can I suggest The Scottish CPSA
100milesaway
T's a case of each to his/her own. I enjoy shooting registered targets and wouldn't want it any other way. I'm a cpsa member but go to plenty of charity shoots, pub league shoots and game fair shoots, where we don't need to have cpsa membership, on a different note, i also know which ones are "safer". I also think that you don't come into shooting with a competative ambition ,but once the bug hits you ,you want to take on harder and tougher targets in a competative way.I started shooting 18 years ago as a distraction, loved every minute of it and ended up shooting for England, i don't have any missconceptions about my ability, but if i can do it ,anyone can.from Auntie
Catamong
Cat, I do not really need the CPSA but there will come a day when they wished they me as a member again. Why's that - you're not from Essex are you..? Cat.

Catamong
Cat you should pop down to JJs one day and show us how its done I've probably been there in the dim and distant past when it traded under a different name, these places keep popping up under different names in order to keep one jump ahead of the taxman - where abouts is it..?? After all it was a registered shoot where a shot was taken over someones head and also a registered shoot where someone was struck in the eye by a pellet. Can't remember anyone being shot at JJ's but I suppose they could have just buried them in the woods.

Nicky T
I don't have a problem with that approach at all. However, I think we could agree that there are more people who get into shooting and who shoot every weekend with their mates, than there are those who want to shoot for team GB. Accordingly, is it fair that the apparent governing body of clay shooting only caters for the minority? Discuss. I don't think that it's fair at all - one of the many reasons to actually do something about it It seems a sorry state of affairs up north at the moment
Catamong
It seems a sorry state of affairs up north at the moment I'm afraid that's been the case for a little while, certainly for the last 30 years that I can remember. They seem obsessed with skeet and tarp, the Sporting majority of members never seem to have had their views properly represented. Things MAY be changing, the only way to do it is to get more Sporters onto the local and Regional committees, time will tell..?? Cat. Don't worry Auntie, MC just seems to throw his toys out of the pram now and again if anybody has a different opinion to his Never mind Paulos, Mummy will be along soon to wipe the dribble off your mouth I hardly think making a comment is throwing my toys out of my pram, but then as you have only just left your pram you would probably know. 100milesaway
If there is no commitee ,they can't run any kind of shoots . the assets are frozen untill there is a minimum number on the commitee. So i'm afraid,it's a case of everyone, no matter what their favourite type of shooting is, needs to come together on this one.
