ochre
For me it's got to be real ale, red wine, campari and soda or perhaps a whisky or gin and tonic; lager on a very hot day; shooting tipple would be 'the king's ginger liquer' or a tot of sloe gin (homemade, if i can get anyone else to make it in their home for me!) I used to smoke; now it has to be a virtual roll-up , especially when I'm bored in a hide and waiting for the next pigeon to appear on the horizon. I got loads when I was in Devon a couple of weeks ago, and they really know how to make it down there! Oh, and I saw ferret racing. I'm with jimdfish on smoke, too. Do not smoke give it up 23 years ago (best thing i ever did apart from taking up shooting)
Pike
Since living in Eastbourne I am drawn to Harveys Bitter like a magnet but unfortunatley you never seem to see it outside of Sussex. Failing that I always drink real ales and Heckled Spen is the current tipple of choice. Used to role my own but the fun police got me! SNAKEBITE
You can't beat home brew!!! 40 pints for 9pounds. Apart from that Harveys of Sussex or any other real ale. However I am too tight to spend money on beer. Oh saying that I am now drinking Guiness and Wife beater (Stella) as they were on VERY special offer and VERY cold. In the evening I have been known to pop down the local Indian shop when walking the dog( ) or picking up a "lottery ticket" and neck a SKOL SUPER. It is only a quid a tin and 9%. It takes the edge off and makes it easier when it all goes fuzzy  Does this mean I am on the slipery slope down? AS for smokes I only smoke o.p.'s (Other peoples!) I gave up ages ago but have been known to relapse occasionally when in the company of AXE or JJAXEMAN! Just don't tell the wife!
Fisherman Mike
For me it's got to be campari and soda Looking at the general posture of your Avatar and reading this statement suggests there is something you would like to "Come out about"  FM. Frank
Well, iv never actually not drank , before, but only in modaration and found the guiness quiet nice. The price of a pint over here is around 3 euro 90 cent, depends where you are. You dont get mush change from a 10 euro note . So i try not to drink too much, as it can happen fairly easily over here i can tell you. My wife smokes for Ireland, so there's no need for me to smoke . Dunkield
I have drunk Guinness in Northern and Southern Ireland and it tastes no different to the stuff they sell anywhere else, sorry about that. I appreciate it is Ireland's best invisable export and they have to promote it hard, but it is all in the mind (nothing wrong with that of course) - the flavour has more to do with the way it is kept. ochre
I hate it when I'm snubbed by a lover. When I got your reply it just made me stand up straight, put one hand on my hip and the other out like a pointer. I had a little pout too followed by a stiff campari and soda
