It might be helpful, if like me, you shoot all over the country. It would be nice to know the costs of different clubs in the area you are working in. I was in swindon the other day and shot at http://www.barburyshootingschool.com/ 100 sporting £40 plus carts (fibre only) I hope some people find it useful. Catamong
Most 100 bird Registered Sporting competitions now work out at between £32 - £36, Birds only entries are usually about £5 - £6 cheaper, (I believe, but I never shoot Birds Only, so I'm guessing). We paid £26.50 for 100 Sporting practice at High Lodge the other day, but it's those bandit Claymate counters and "self buttoning" that's a pain in the proverbial. Cat. The dizzy heights of professional clay shooting, to good to have to push a button yourself. Both of my local clubs are £7 a round of 50 birds. You have to be able to push a button yourself or occasionally (Shock horror) work a manual trap.

I prefer self buttoning as we only shoot for fun. I am not good enough to shoot registered. Phil

All traps are self button but they all have an option of delayed release (about 3 seconds) so you can get some decent prcatice in. Plenty of stands covering all disciplines. burntout
Aylsham Gun Club - They shoot the first and third Sunday of each month. 50 sporting is £6 for members (£30 per year). First sunday is a comp (informal) taking into consideration your handicap so even those hitting low scores (like myself) are in with a chance. On this Sunday I think it's 35 DTL and 20 sporting. Mid Norfolk - 25p / clay for non members - Wed - Fri, 10-4. Will attend Churchills this month as well which is £15 for 50.
