Horse racing is for mugs. You can lose a fortune at it. That's fine if you can afford to I suppose, but I'd rather spend my cash on bullets!

When I was 18 and daft my boss talked me into giving it a go and I bet half a weeks wages on a donkey at 70-1 each way. It came second (behind my bosses which was favourite unfortunately). I can now spend the rest of my life knowing I'm up on the bookies. Call me boring but I like it that way!

I clearly remember the day though. My boss was on about 2-1 and at the end of the race he was shouting at the radio for my horse to overtake his! :hmm:

Whitebridges, could you please provide us with some tips for tomorrow and Friday.

I got an email this morning from a "friend" who frequents this forum with some "tips" from somebody whose brother knows somebody whose cousin is in charge of wiping the horses bottoms or the such like, with a "cast iron tip". Anyways, I saw his "cast iron tip" included some nags already mentioned off here (Punjabi was one) and so had an each way punt.

Long story short:

1. dog **** tip

2. money burnt

So, it's double or quits or some Yankee Satchelbusting plan.......

Sorry guys first one from this source that has let me down

To be fair that could happen to any horse in the bundle for the first fence.

Not your fault Nige... That's why they call it gambling I guess! And you're right it was a bit of bad luck at the first fence... if it had got over ok, who knows.

I had 50 on the nose to win but the guy who the tip originated from I know would have had a 4 or 5 figure sum on it. Funny thing is that I was very tempted to put some serious wedge on it as he has never failed yet, glad I didn't!!
