shaun4860
Everybody is as guilty as everyone else, There are knobheads in both camps, When i see a bike coming up behind me however, i tend to pull in a bit so he doesnt have to venture too far over to pass me (must be the ex biker in me), you always get a nice little thankyou wave. When i see a young numpty in his souped up corsa however my xtrail somehow turns into a wider than a wide thing car, this really infuriates me as i will be doing the legal speed limit on that particular bit of road or whatever suits the conditions and you can see them weaving in and out trying to get past so they can be in front of you at the next junction/roundabout. In the words of "hill street blues"........"lets be careful out there".... shaun Edited April 13, 2010 by shaun4860

burntout
I'm in the middle of sorting my RSV1000R out for the season. Currently coring the stock cans then just need to fit some Evotech can hangers, single seat cowl, new Pilot Power 2ct, mot, tax, insure and I'm away!!! actually - that's alot of work still! Well, alot of money more than work.
burntout
Yet you will see 100% of bikers do it. Never have, never will - apart from when filtering through slow (i.e. <15mph) traffic. I am not sure that I would be allowed a motorbike. How small exactly does your winkle have to be ? Depends on what brand of leathers you go for.....tried a Dainese 1 piece on (Laguna suit) which cut my spuds down the middle when standing! Chard
What I love is that thats the first time I have seen that phrase coined on this site.. when the site is about BIG GUNS, yet its used about bikes.. that tickled me... It is used because it applies. I'm faster than you. You're boring because you drive a car. I'm safer than you. Look at my willy. etc etc etc etc I lost a biker stepson in a road accident (he was VERY fast on it), probably no other vehicle involved. After that (thank God) my son got rid of his bike and got 4 wheels (he was faster than his brother). I've also lost 4 mates in motorcycle crashes. I don't really give a flying **** who's got the biggest cock

I didnt really want to get dragged into it to be honest, I just found it amusing that a site about shooting and its bikes that gets this kicked off.. Im in the biker camp, albeit without a bike atm. burntout
i cored my tuono cans.. best noise in the world ever... fact.. although i had to buy some baffles.. 3" perf tube made it beautiful... Lot of guys on the Ape forum have as well. I was selling her this year to go Jap again but with the market being as bad as it is I've decided to keep her....problem was I sold all the shiny bits - ohlins shock, Arrow cans, carbon can hangers, seat cowl etc which went some way to funding the shotty. So I've basically been putting it back to how it was last September ready for this summer - hence getting another cowl, billet (rather than carbon) hangers and coring the cans. I had the choice between the older black anodized cans with the standard ends or the newer silver cans with the conical end to core so have started on the old ones to keep the newer (07 onwards) style for MOT. I'm just waiting on a 74-64mm reducer as I'm using 2.5" perforated stainless pipe and keeping the Cat in to save trying to knock it out. I'll tak the reducer onto the cat and rivet into the stainless core (to save trying to weld mild to stainless) and then I'm done. The pipes are fully stripped and just waiting on the reducer and I'm done in another hour or two really. Been looking at a universal DB killer on ebay to pop in there as I suspect they're going to be far louder than the Arrows were despite them pipping Akros and Leos on the noise front. Good work on the Tuono - I went on a ride out last year with around 20 of 'em covering some 340 miles round Wales....the sound of 21 odd V-twins through the valleys was superb.
DSPUK
I envy you guys with the balls to get out there on a bike - I was a 60's rocker with Triumph Tiger 110 and rode for years till 1984 when all of a sudden it seemed too dangerous - Was probably my age - bike went in garage and never came out till 2004 when I sold it with 13k miles on clock. 1976 Suzuki GT550 - didn't handle as well as my old Triumph Dave

burntout
Here's mine! V-twins rule. Inline fours are boring Good effort. A mate had both an SP1 and SP2. I rode them back to back against the RSV. My Ape just pipped them on acceleration but that was more down to the 15/42 (as opposed to stock 16/40) gearing I run. Great bikes and they sound superb - I just found them too small. It felt like sitting on my RVF400 NC35 with how close the bars are together and into the rider, very crunched up. As we're posting, mine has been on before but here it is again - and with me mate on his SP1 - Ready for action - At the horseshoe pass in wales with some of the 20 odd Tuonos I was with - HAPPY RIDING! Longun
Yeah, my Brother has got an RSV! Couldn't get the same as him. And as for size, I'm 6'5'' so I look a tw** on just about any bike The SP2 is a fair bit more comfy than the 07 Blade I had though.... DSPUK
Shaun When I bought mine I had choice of two- one red one black and they had consecutive number plates - they were owned by two brothers - as you see I had black one. - I sold mine to a guy from London I would love to have a go on one of these new super bikes but it must have low seat - short legs and all that. No monkey bike jokes please This was my old Triumph - not very good pic sorry Dave
