Frenchieboy
Nice one mate! Roughly how old is it in the photo and do you have any trouble with their survival when you release them back into the wild after hand rearing them? We could do with seeing a lot more of those little red cheeky chappies about!

rsrjerry
http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/rescued-...ferrerPath=home in our local paper tonight , To Answer a few questions - kitten is approx 6 weeks old -taking milk every 2-3 hrs and has got the hang of it no problem - as for putting back to wild this depends on a few things - how tame it gets (cause when you are hand rearing it means what is says ) what we do is put the squirrel kittens into an enclosure i have in my back yard has all it needs - trees, nest box food etc and try and de humanize them approx 3-4 month try and get back to wild in a location i have set up with loads of nest boxes feeders and where there is other reds . had a lot of calls etc from the mail article and the people who make the milk (lactol ) and syringes phoned today and are sending us a load of gear free of charge which is good on them film crews from bbc and itv coming tomorrow which is all good for the red squirrel campaign we need all the help we can get ... cheers
