Catamong
Well, from what I've heard this was a damn good shoot, my mate did a 93, I understand young Chris Childerhouse, (another Suvverner B) ), may have won it with a 95..? By all accounts, a top notch ground with excellent facilities, (totally wasted on the northern Numpties ) I couldn't be bothered to shoot it, did a Car Boot Sale instead, (I love haggling with those foreign punters ), we cleared nearly £200 by 12 noon, so that was a bit of a result. Perhaps I should have made the trip 'Oop North in the inevitable pouring rain, I remember somebody saying to me some time ago that this was a cracking ground, but he was only an Efffing Student.........what do they know? Cat. Edited June 6, 2010 by Catamong

B) Cat. Yes, Chris Childerhouse was leading when we left but there were still a lot shooting. Saw Scott Greenfield there, but I don't know how he was getting on. It was a good shoot, but as you say, the weather was sheeeeyte (but not as bad as the North v South)

Cat. You should have listened to what I had to say and come along and shot this Cat. When you have been in the game as long as I have you know a good shoot when you see one. You should come along and shoot North Wolds in a few weeks A 90+ was excellent today and there more than a few of the "recognised" names down in the mid-low 80s. If I had tried I would have obviously done a 96. Just 'avin a larff though weren't I, innit. Edited June 6, 2010 by paulos

Emmsy
anyone got any results then? tbh cat it wasnt that good, its just your mate shot a good score 3 or 4 stands you had to work for around the tower, the rest was a concentration shoot. i shot an 89 and was not shooting good, i shall be supprised if there isnt a load of 90+s it was a nice ground though far better than that dingy hole worsley
Anni
Why would you think of Worsley when you were shooting Conniston The grounds are nothing a like.
paulos
Why would you think of Worsley when you were shooting Conniston B) The grounds are nothing a like. D'uh Anni Because they both happen to be in that forgotten area North of Watford Gap which most Southerners have no idea of. "There be dragons..." n all that. Obviously they must be the same Just no pleasing some people I suppose.
Emmsy
the reference to worsley is that the last few selection shoots have ended up there. this place is a HUGE improvement!
Nicky T
it was a nice ground though far better than that dingy hole worsley Coniston is a nice ground, although i think that yuo'll find Worsley has also improved drastically from the last time a selection shoot was held there
Chard
Coniston is a nice ground, although i think that yuo'll find Worsley has also improved drastically from the last time a selection shoot was held there That would be the selection shoot where all the big boys who could only manage about 80-82 because it was a bit blowy, whinged and bleated to the CPSA and got the ground deregistered Yes, I remember it well, a ******* great days work for clay shooting Edited June 7, 2010 by Chard
Chard
Coniston results out on the CPSA site here Looks like Trotsky has been awarded a couple more dubious hits. His score seems to have crept from 79 to 81 That must be worth a stewards enquiry ******* students
paulos
I put in a good word with nice girl behind the desk Could be right though I suppose The scorecard was sodden and I was too busy being annoyed with myself to concentrate fully I trust their counting over mine
