Dempy
if it is not too hot! that is the downside some years, but of all the gamefairs, i only tend to go to the cla and the midland now. the cla is a big show with plenty to see, but the midland is later in the season and you often get better offers. but the cla is a must for me every year! :(
100milesaway
It's OK if you are just going to walk or shop but don't even think about taking your gun to shoot. You end up parked about 1 mile away from the shooting with all your gear to carry. When you get there with your arms about 6inches longer, you find acres of space where they could have let you park. The midland is much more shooter friendly and like the previous poster said, you get some bargains on the last day ' cause its the last major fair of the season and the stall holders want to sell up. from Auntie. robc89
Me n 2-3 mates have been making the long ole trip up from the lizard for 3 years now. Will be going again, this time we are camping onsite which we dont normally do because we leave it too late. Will be leaving here early Friday morn setting up by lunch hopefully and having 2 full days in there. Normally spend a day looking at all the guns i cant afford and then rushing round the rest of the show we rush round on the last day. Its a great day out and well worth the money! MITCHF
Maybe a few of us coming up for this, any younger lads going?? Whats the deal with the beer tents too, they open late after the actual show? The bar's on the campsite are open late on Friday/Saturday night, and burger bar, chippy and tai curry stall, it was quality. The atmosphere on the campsite is brilliant. Good showers, toilets and a little shop(tent for the essentials). "any younger lads going".........it doesn't matter as we all think we're 20 something when full of ale Edited July 6, 2010 by MITCHF
Dempy
The bar's on the campsite are open "well" late, last year they had a rock band on Friday/Saturday night and burger bar it was quality. The atmosphere on the campsite is brilliant. Good showers, toilets and a little shop(tent for the essentials). "any younger lads going".........it doesn't matter as we all think we're 20 something when full of ale Camping, drinking, exchanging shooting stories round the camp fire? could be a late night
