Cranfield
Our "Boxing Day" shoot is on the 27th this year. It might feel a bit strange, but will honestly suit my domestic arrangements (not the reason for the change round).

Catamong
Mel, Pikeing is great fun, I've had few gooduns in my time, best at 24.5 lbs, but hooked and lost one on a spinner one day that would have nudged the British record, (50lb I reckon..!!) I hope your lad enjoys his day..!! Catamong.

lurcherboy
Update. They were very lucky that we presented good birds for them. 271 shots=46 pheasies and 1 woodcock. Ragged them all day long LB
Catamong
Well the Boxing Day shoot went well, we didn't shoot many Pheasants, but we certainly had a great time walking off the excesses of Christmas Day..!! Here'a a photo of us between drives. Even managed to persuade the squires daughter to beat for us - she was great fun...!! Catamong.

Hendo
Had my usual Boxing day shoot with the farmers two sons and a few of my friends and shot 26 pheasants 1 partridge and a woodcock.Just the job after spending Christmas day sitting around eating. Been at the pigeons a couple of days last week as they are busy working the oilseed rape just now. I am away picking up Monday and Tuesday next week on two local estates and cant wait for the beaters days at the end of the month.
