Before I bought mine, I regulary had to walk long distances with a big army bergen full of shooting gear on my back. That was bad enough, but imagine having to walk back with a few dead pigeons. 4x4s are great though. I now have one and have all my shooting gear chucked in the back. It's only ever a maximum 10 metres walk from my hide.
