Blackpowder
This could well be the same gun illustrated in Nigel Brown's "British Gunmakers" between pages 352 and 353, this is gun number 4801 built in 1896 on a Dickson and Murray Paten 873 action of 1882. It is described as having "the usual flat configuration". Also shown is a 12 bore number 3955 on the "rare if not unique pyramidal version of the same patent". On the next page are photographs of both a Westley Richards and E.C. Green three barrelled guns the former winning a gold medal at the Turin Exhibition 1911. Certainly by adding a third barrel the supreme elegance of the Dickson Round Action is lost. Blackpowder
