Well after getting my variation back earlier in the week i spent a few days ringing around shops to see who had what in stock and who could get me what at what price. Anyway today was the day i was to strike and ended up buying a gun from one shop and a scope from another. I left home at 10 for the 1 hour trip up to Northalerton shooting supplies as they had the gun i was after in stock. Its a stainless synthetic tikka t3 in 6.5x55 and was picked up at a very reasonable price and was on the one hour drive home. I was at home got a quick drink and was off to York guns to pick up a second hand S&B hungarian in 8x56 along with all the other bits like sling, slip, ammo and cleaning stuff . They fitted it to the rifle as i had brought it with me and even bore sighted it in for me. I will be out tomorrow to zero it properly. Anyway im happy as a dog with to ***** and love it. I have got it and it will be ready for my stalking trip to scotland next saturday ;):D:yes::good:
