garden gun
Reasonable numbers in S Bucks. Mainly on wheat stubble, but my garden is getting more than a few - good evening sport.

Highlander
You lot have killed 'em all that's why! That's pigeon shooting...after nearly 3 days of continuous rain we had some respite on Friday and there were more pigeons about than we've seen for some time. Large flocks reminiscent of the winter time flocks on rape. A good day BUT then on Saturday hardly a bird was stiring! Go figure. There's no other quarry quite like Woody. sitsinhedges
yeah nothing round my end in s.northants thought there would be more on wheat/rape stubbles That's because we've shot most of them They've been hammered since the rape was swathed early last month and I think the survivors have learned to avoid decoys somewhat
yickdaz
the birds are split up in groups on all the stubbles that are about at the moment thats what i;m finding round my end but can still get a decent bag on one or 2 stubbles. anser2
I had a good look around my fields today and a scattering of birds about , but no big numbers in my part of N Norfolk. The winds of te last few days have brought a lot of acorns down so they could be in the woods , but there is stubble every where so they are likely to be thinly scattered. Harnser
Watch out for your over winter stubbles . your farmer friend will spray it off and then hopefully chick-weed will start to come through . Over winter cereal stubbles with chick-weed growing in it is as good as you will get in late autum . Harnser .
