"Automatic weapon" and "semi-automatic weapon" includes any weapon the magazine of which is capable of holding more than two rounds. normal auto only holds 2 in the chamber so you can use them for pheasants. What a load of old tosh, aint nothing wrong with a semi. Axe, I have to disagree, I shot a pheasant the other week with my O/U, it took exception flew straight at me and hit me! Cranfield Posted January 15, 2006 Report Share Posted January 15, 2006 I am sure you will find that its not illegal to shoot a pheasant with a standard 3 shot semi auto, but on organised game Shoots, it is classed as a non "sporting" weapon.
