jason kaye
Free to very good home ,due to giving up flying birds of prey and heavy work commitments, I'm sadly having to part with my German shorthaired pointer bitch, she's 8 years old, liver and white ticked and has been my falconry dog for the last six years, she lives out ,but would live in and make an excellent companion, she is brilliant with kids and other animals, but sadly she is a little gun shy,so if anyone could offer her a very good home please PM me. rtaylor
Don't think the Landlord would let us have 2 dogs, it was enough of a struggle with the 1 we have. I would love a GSP though. Good luck.

al4x
I really hate posts like this, I can't understand how people can just discard dogs that have worked for them when they are no longer useful.
bruno22rf
Dont envy you mate-it must be very hard to let a friend go after so long-hope you find her someone who will give her the care she needs ;)Ignore comments that suggest this is some kind of abandonment-it must be far harder to let her go and i,m sure you have the dogs best interests at heart. I thought you were Jason's Best Mate. He is too busy helping people mopping up foxes than looking after a loyal hunting partner.

jason kaye
Sorry if this seems like I'm just getting rid of her because I have no use for her,but you couldn't be futher off the mark.I no longer fly B.O.P anymore and that is all this dog has ever known ,so if anyone wanted her to work with their birds I would sooner let her continue doing the job she's been trained for and as for she hasn't got much working life left in her,get real I know plenty of GSP's working in the fields under hawks and falcons well into their teens,It's hard enough to part with her has it is ,so I can do without the snyde remarks thanks, and if anyone is thinking why not keep her just as a pet ,but with new work commitments it's just a shame to let her go to waste. hodge911
why do people feel the need to "JUMP ON SOMEONE ELSES CASE WITH NEGATIVE OPINIONS WHEN THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE PERSONS CIRCUMSTANCES/REASONS FOR POSTING THIER THREADS......" seems to happen far to much . . good luck in finding the perfect home for her mate Edited November 23, 2010 by hodge911
jason kaye
Thanks for the support guys.but just to make my circumstance clear,I have had the dog six years and in that six years my work load has increased significantly, hence the reason to stop flying birds, also my wife has taken on more hours at work(needs must) so I can't see how I can commit more time to looking after a dog at this moment in time,I wish things were different,I really do ,but they're not sadly hence my hard decision to rehome her, hope this clarifies things and if anyone could offer her a good home please contact me via PM please. Psyxologos
This is ridiculous. Someone offers a healthy dog FOR FREE and a miserable person comes up and has a go at him (sitting on their high horse passing moral judgements on what is decent and what is not) for not keeping the dog. Seriously, some people need to get a life. Look at the bright side of things. this dog is in with a chance of an early retirement in a home that will love and look after him. What is wrong with that? Do you know Jason and his circumstances? He might HAVE to let the dog go, who are you to judge him for not 'having the decency to keep him'? Jason, disregard the negativity traders and I hope you get a good home. If this offer was to come in a few months time I would be in my car driving to you to get the dog. But I need to wait for my back yard to be sorted first!

Agreed! :Les Its just some of us think of our dogs as for life but in this case if it can't be looked after then it may as well go to a proper home, I think what rubbed people up was the cynical idea of passing on a dog nearing the end of its working life which you do see on here from time to time. Good luck though

You are just as bad in saying what people should do and not doing it yourself. Jase, Please could you hold on a couple of months and let this chap have your dog, please. Thank you.
