woke up this morning at half 6 keen for a mornings crow shooting to find that we have our first snow of the winter in west cumbria . a quick phone call to my shooting partner to cofirm we were still going to have a go in the snow and off we went , down some very slippy back roads . i have been driving past these feilds of maize stubble for weeks and there have been big numbers of crows feeding so i finaly went and got permission off the farmer last night , being told to fire away (a perk of being a agricultural contractor )

got set up at half 7 and had a very busy first hour with 50 on the clicker and then i settled down nicly untill we ran out of cartridges . i manged to make our last cartridge count with 108 (a long range crosser that my shooting buddy was sure i would miss!)and packed up just befor 11.

only managed to pick 92 and the 3 ferral pigeons but there was a wood behind us , overall the first time we have had over 100 in the bag and some good shooting , along with us missing some sitters . another of my mates was shooting on more maize just down the road and he had 50 in the bag when i last spoke to him
