paulf
I would phone or email, I wouldn't go out of my way on it but I would make a small effort. As has been said, the sender could be a small one man band and not a faceless big organization.
deejay
What we should be doing is taking down names of the guys who would keep the boots .And next time they try to buy anything from the forum we have a list of people WHO we shouldnt deal with . Return the boots mate ,you know it makes sense . And OTH is spot on with regards to the sgc and fac as it doesnt make any difference what small offence you commit. It will always look bad when you re-apply for your licence . I had to call out the poice when we had trouble with the neighbour ,and my feo mentioned it when he came round to check my ammo box . Stick my name at the top of your list then. You'll be disappointed if I do want to buy something off you, as I never let anyone down, pay as promised and contribute to the movement of guns and equipment on here. So, just because I said I would keep them instantly blacklists me. I would love to order a hit on Cliff Richard, but it doesn't mean I've (a) done anything wrong, or ( B ) makes me a bad person for thinking that. On your own Edited January 2, 2011 by Billy. On your own I woulnt be at all dissapointed as (a) I tend to give most of my small stuff away and (B) There are plenty of other decent people on here that would buy it anyway .So dont get on your high hoarse and think that you are the only ONE to buy from this forum as I am sorry to give you the bad news that your not. And saying that you would keep the boots isnt being disshonest...........you make me laugh Reagards Darren
Jim Sarakun
Am I really taking the morale high ground I dont think so I am just putting the point straight and direct which if somebody signs a deliver note with a false name in order to deceive the sender or carrier then I am wrong to think thats wrong : I give up what the name of your freight company ME I fancy sending some gear to a friend for him to sign his name Mickey Mouse and then phone you to say he has not received it . Still you got insurance so it would not bother you . All your great work on the chartiy clay shoot has been undone for me by what your implying others to do and also by your own admission do yourself to screwfix. I dont fancy writing cheque in your name again as you may become the Arthur Fowler of PW going on your statement. Kind regards OTH Could this possibly be the same Over the hill who would have us believe that he was in three places at once. Is this a Porkie?click porkie 1 Could this be Porkie 2 Click for porkie Shot 102 Pigeons while felling trees all day in the fog, and still had half an hour to shoot another 8 at the end of the day. Over to you OTH. Talk like a Bank Manager, Politician whatever, and explain how you were in these 3 places in one day. What's that old saying, Let him who is without sin cast the first stone. I now know you would keep those boots, and if I was ME, I wouldn't accept a cheque from you, cash only...

Tom&Dexter
All actions have consequences, a lot of people don't seem to consider the implications of their actions. All it takes is one ****** off person and you never know where it's going to end up. If you wish to gamble your career, good character and savings for a £120 pair of boots go ahead. Personally I'd phone them and leave the ball in their court.

digger
I agree with OTH, either ME is a bit of a child or his posts are edited. Going for the former with his childish responses in the past but hey, his face fits so let him sow away. One day his fast fingers will make sure he reaps. Made the mistake of asking a question here in the summer, ME was a total *unt for his response. Hey presto, thread deleted. Cookiemonsterandmerlin.
I think it would have been better for ME to just say I made a mistake on the reply I posted . Instead a Moderator has waved there magic wand and it all forgotten. Not the best advert for honest law abiding gun owners IMHO.
