al4x
4 shots at 8 yards must have been one armour plated fox to need the last 3 shots

camokid
congrats on first fox mate try to get them a bit closer next time within 20 30 yards is spot on then it will not need 4 shots one will do

steve_b_wales
80 yards is way too far to shoot a fox with a shotgun, even with large shot.
al4x
80 yards is way too far to shoot a fox with a shotgun, even with large shot. it won't be 80 yards as the shot would be very unlikely to stop it, what we have here is a dodgy range estimation but we do have a dead fox so nice one and I'm sure not as bad as it sounds
triscrx
Still a bit far off I reckon if the estimate was 80 Yards that's rifle territory not shotgun range
foxbuster
Congrats on the fox mate, but as others have said, think you should get them down to 30yrds max before shooting them. Perhaps a larger shot size as well if its solely foxes your out for.
SilentKill
on paper i'd have to agree with it not being Range for a shotgun! but as Al4x says worse things have happened at sea! as long as it was done humanely and not 4 shots to take it down (1 for each quarter of the fox) then thats fine! artschool
it won't be 80 yards as the shot would be very unlikely to stop it, what we have here is a dodgy range estimation but we do have a dead fox so nice one and I'm sure not as bad as it sounds well put. perhaps he ment 80 ft?
