Just thought i'd show you my new family member 'Penny' she's a 11 week old English Spring Spaniel...

I have had my eye out for a springer for a while now and with help from my very good friend KennyB we found a cracking dog with the right working lines through her pedigree. Early days yet but her first night she slept like a log and is getting on great with me 2 dalmations :good: I'll try and keep you updated to her progress and i'm looking forward to learn how to train a working dog from my dog training mentor KennyB....... :friends:

Safe and Happy Shooting..

Lovely looking pup, She is going to be loads of fun.

Al4x,

Definetly get a docked one, IMO it is bloody cruel to work an undocked one. One guy on one shoot I know has an undocked one and by lunchtime on each shoot it looks like it has been attacked by a mad axeman. Absolutely covered in blood.

yep I know MC but I'm dealing with a woman who used to have one with a tail. I did actually point out at the weekend that my GWP was covered in blood because she had been near one like that but it goes in one ear and out the other. Compromise is not get one or if she insists not take it shooting

Get a 3/4 docked one, most pet owners think its not docked because its not a show dock, she'll never know the difference - blame the working pedigree
