Good do on the maize

After having 3 days of clients and with the birds not wanting to decoy tho there was thousands about today i decided to see if i could do any good as i had a free day . I was out well before first light with a few jobs to do ,got them sorted and when it got light i found the birds all heading to a game cover near 2 spineys .

I watched for 45 mins and the birds never stopped coming so got setup . No need for a hide just stood in the edge of the small wood behind the hedge and put out 16 shells in no real pattern with rotay to the left .

Birds soon started to come back but would not drop in so after 30 mins i moved the rotary to my right and this got the ball rolling with bird after bird dropping in a treat ( if only i could hit them all ) had some huge groups drop in but what a sight when 300 plus lock there wings and pile in  shot ok at times and rubbish at other points still had 6 left and rights and 2 dead in the air with 1 shot so not bad .

Packed up at 2.30pm and picked 87 lost another 6 so not bad at all :good:
