welshwarrior
I was looking at this and spoke to Dennis at UK Gun Repairs he said it was easy enough to do and would cost around £45-50 so not expensive either.

MartB
Try phoning or going into John Forsey's (Kent)DA16 1RT 02083049922. They specialise in Benelli's. I bought mine there and service was great. Phoning doesn't always get you the right person though. One of the crew is not so helpful. Maybe, at worst, there is some sort of a three way swop that might end up with you getting the gun you want. Good luck. Mart
masterzone2
I was told about £200 and that's to crimp the gun send it to London for proofing and put it on my SGC in other words all paper work, practical work, sending it there and getting it sent back etc And it was quoted on a Awkward firearm. In fairness I believe your better off putting the cost difference on a gun that is already section2 unless it something rare that you REALLY want. fuzrat
Excuse my ignorance, but why would a semi need proofing after just crimping the mag, surely its only the barrel/action that needs proof ie the bits involved in the bang not a magazine? Fuzrat You need to have a 'restriction certificate' to confirm that can be held on sgc after being sgc. Edd

Mart I'll second that, I've bought 6 guns from Phil at Forseys, and he's always been good to deal with - even when I've been awkward. He'll also do a good price on cartridges.
