Ash77
Hi Guys, I bought this rifle a few months back now. The action itself was in great condition but the original stock it came with let it down as it had to much sap in it for my liking so I thought I can ether spray it black or make myself a new stock, So here`s what I did. http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j342/jackaman442/DSC01677.jpg http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j342/jackaman442/DSC01676.jpg http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j342/jackaman442/DSC01705.jpg http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j342/jackaman442/DSC01704.jpg http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j342/jackaman442/DSC01706.jpg atb, Ash

cooky
excellent work looks great can you buy the stock blanks ready to take the action and you carve the rest yourself or do you have to cut it out for the action as well

Ash77
that looks really smart, may i ask what tools you used and what wood you were working with because it looks fantastic great job! Sure. I use a number of tools. Band saw for cutting out rough shape, morticer for letting in action. Router for cutting out. also use hole cutters for cutting out. Block plan, spoke shave, and a crappy set of carving chisels for shaping. Also use a drill with drum sanders attached. The wood is home grown in the uk. Was very luck to get hold of it as it has a lovely grain. Hope this helps. atb, Ash
Ash77
Looks really good, must have been a labour of love to get such a decent finish. Well done. Where did you get the walnut blank from? Well is has had a few coats of danish oil. The walnut i bought from my old place of work. Very hard to find as it was grown here. I am looking out for other supplyers as it happens but not having much luck.

Every thing else will have to be done by youself.
