Cranfield
I suspect that some decoy manufacturers are taking notes right this minute.

stripey999
These have been around for a while for doves and they are called triple play motion decoys. In the UK they seem to be about 49 quid (ebay) but if you look at the US, they are around 22 quid. They run from AA batteries and the dove ones would need painting to look like woodies (plus they are much smaller). Much lighter than a magnet I would think but I don't think they would be as effective. Edited March 10, 2011 by stripey999
highseas
i like his deeks, they look like moleskin lol dont recon much to his hide mind  however 6-8 of them in a horseshoe pattern would be awsome
stubby
I bought the dove one about a year ago, tried it on the pigeons with little success, so re-vamped it to look like magpies, not used it alot as tend to use a dead rabbit to bring the maggies in, wouldent want to pay uk prices for it though, I got lucky and found it on sale in usa, cost me £25 inc postage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGOid-vQ73E I think the german one worked well, just because the amount of other decoys they had out, I had crows come down with same confidence when just using six static deeks
steve_b_wales
I was watching a very similar set up at a gamefair last year. The price was around £70, but it looked good. The seller had pigeons on his device, but I think it would be easy to change them to crows. I'm gong to take a look to see if I can find one for sale this year, and if the price is good, then I'll get one.

The only down sides would appear to be anchorage spike and the wind !! Possible "stubby" could enlighten on the spike ?? (weight of three full bodied crows.) In my opinion a good breeze would make the decoys act too erratic ?? (you require a reasonable breeze / wind for a good days decoying.) It may be worth an investment for a windless day but two would be far more benefitial I think.

webber
Das ist gut. Ich, oh ******** to this. I bought one of the pigeon / dove versions at the BASC Gamekeepers Fare in May for about £35, I also bought 3 crow decoys to modify to fit, but have yet to do the job. I've only tried it on one outing without success, but there were no pigeon about to shoot, so it wasn't a fair test. webber

Redditch
Just looked, and the states is selling dove for $21.00 a set and crow for I think $ 34.00 a set, but he seems to have run out of the pigeon ones. I think I might get one dove and one crow to fill out my decoy patterns

Redditch
Have you got a link to them Yep, www.rchuntingstore.com, these ones are slightly different to the German ones though. Guys name is Bobby, give him my best UPS Priority Air Freight would be $ 49.00 US approx for both a dove and crow one together. I´ll be ordering one of each come the end of the month. Taxman has decided my vehicles tax was due to run out, so had to do that this month, plus exchange my driving licences, and take psv/hgv medicals etc, all in all an expensive month LOL Just Google the thing and several links come up, they were the cheapest.
