Not cod psychology mate. For that, I can assure you. :good:

OK, I'll take your word for it. I'm actually quite impressed at the psychoanalytical insight you have into someone's "pathetic, miserable and self-detesting existence" from a post or two on here. If I'm honest I'd also think it a little unprofessional if someone with a genuine psychology qualification would use such abusive terms or suggest that people "are not worth the air they are breathing". Is it your profession? Just curious :);)

Please enlighten me.

No offence intended, but it's just ironic that what you're saying is the exact same thing you're doing.

Intersting point though.

Anyway, got to go as Obama and Cameron need a hand with some Lybian problem or summink.

OK, I said good night, but you do merit an answer, as you took the pains to make some interesting observations. Indeed, there probably is a degree of exaggeration in what I wrote. The spirit of my argument though is that there is a very strong contingency of people in internet forums who seek to fulfil their lives by portraying an image of themselves that is fabricated and beautified. When writing the sentence you quote I did not have a particular individual in mind, I was rather conveying the way I perceive the demeanour of some people in the many forums I participate. One tends to find that an anonymous experience like the one participation to an internet forum offers reinforces a false feeling of security in some people, making them prone to making extraordinary statements and carrying themselves in ways that are by far too bold for their character, simply because they know that it is very hard for anyone to see their 'true colours'. Well, some of us can.

And yes, you are absolutely right to object to the way I expressed myself about these people. Indeed, it is unprofessional. But here I am just another forum member. Should I be seeing someone in a professional capacity, I would employ the correct terminology and avoid generalisations. But as I said, this is the internet and I am just another user.

Fair dos, thanks for the clarification. Your latest post is a lot more measured and reads all the better for it. I do agree with some of your points.

"Man up" the lot of you. Sign up for this years North vs South shoot, put some faces to avatars and have a good day out.

This year MM is doing a "sponsored cuddle". Chuck a donation in his bucket and you'll get a big lovely squeezey hug off the big guy. For those that are feeling bullied or those from Suffolk, it will be right up your street and a chance to do your bit for "charidee".

When it was new and interesting I spent a lot of time on Linux help forums sorting out problems and talking people through the intricacies of OSS or NVidia modules.

Very frequently someone would blunder in and, after posting some 'URGENT - MUST HELP NOW' type problem they would sign off with something like 'if you can't fix my problem I'll have to go back to using MS Windows'.

My standard response was **** off then, do you really think I give a **** which system you use or which forums you do or do not read?

Reads to me exactly like bullying - play the way I want or I'm going home.

See? proper trolling :D

Instead of crying like a little girl that the big boys are picking on you, simply improve your grammar.

I presume most people on here are British by birth, therefore are native English speakers and were taught grammar at school. Consequently, there is no excuse for the ignorant gibberish that is posted on here sometimes. No doubt your teachers told you, in a weary tone, that English lessons will be important in the future. You should have listened.

You are not dyslexic or being bullied: you are lazy and/or stupid and are being mocked accordingly. Perhaps you can lay a course of bricks faster than anybody else on the building site, or change the tyres on customers cars quicker than the other fitters or your tattoos cover more of your body than anybody else at the Job Centre. Stick to your areas of strength and stop vomiting up a stream of unedited consciousness, refuse to re-read & edit and finally use a built-in spell checker.

I am happy, as a public service, to offer militant editing advice to all members who continue to labour under the misapprehension that the visual graffiti they post is fit for purpose. There is no need to thank me, performing this charitable act is thanks enough.

I trust this adequately explains matters and I suggest you get used to it.

I'm mildly surprised that nobody seems to have noted Mungler referred to Hoovers not once but twice. B)

I'm told the outlet socket of the older cylinder cleaners are much more satisfying.

As for smelling pistakes and such trifling things be advised that Henry and his relatives are not manufactured by Hoover.
