Tiger955i
HI Guys Sorry if this should be in the airgunners section I got my FAC back on Saturday with my .22 FAC air + mod variation approved. I have a budget of around £650.00. This excludes the HW100 and Daystate etc. I am looking at the Theoben Rapid or Air Arms S510 Extra. What do the people in the know think of these models and are there any better alternatives? Many thanks

mark@mbb
I have a webley axsor at 32llbs and seems great on rabbits and long tails at a distance otherwise it tends to go right through Atb Mark
Guest cookoff013
is that calibre specific? could you get fac .25? or is it set at fac .22?
TaxiDriver
recently paid a little over £700 for my BSA R10 MkII FAC, nearly half the price of the Daystate offerings

caeser
I have owned ,in FAC,these guns:- Webley FX2000 (25ft/lbs) Air Arms S410 extra FAC (31ft/lbs) Daystate Air Ranger (40ft/lbs) My favourite of all 3 was ,which may surprise you, the Webley FX2000. It was the lightest or the most well balanced gun, and was so easy the operate the bolt. I have shot three rabbits in about 10 seconds without taking the gun out of my shoulder. It would have been completely impossible with the Air Arms.Probably couldn't have done it as fast with the Daystate. Daystate was a lovely gun, but still did't handle as well as the Webley. To me the Air Arms couldn't compete with either of the other two. Just my opinion you understand. Edited June 6, 2011 by caeser
team tractor
I have 12 ftlb airarm s and only holds 40 good shots so can't see it anygood fac. Lad that works for me had .177 .20 .22 .25 listed on his in the air rifle section
Dekers
Almost any rifle is ok up to about 20-25ft lb in FAC, if you want more then think no further than a Rapid 7. New, they are not cheap, used, they are not easy to find, that says it all!
kdubya
rapid all the way loads about second hand, and usually very cheap to boot (less of a market for fac) I have 2 one running at 30lb and one at 40lb, they are amazingly accurate bunny kilers. RC45
is that calibre specific? could you get fac .25? or is it set at fac .22? I have a Rapid 7 which pushes about 47 in .25 calibre. I am having it tuned later in the year. 60 ftlb, 100 yard accuracy (on a nice day). Edited June 6, 2011 by RC45
