Had another day out at the pigeons on some laid barley. Hide all sorted, just put out 5 full bodied and the whirly with the hypers on. Now where's the flask, yup still on the kitchen work surface  Was going to be a long day without a brew

Was set up by 10.30 and had to really engineer the decoys so the birds would present themselves as head on so I could drop them in a small target zone so as to avoid the risk of losing them in the crop or the road 20yds behind me.

It was very testing shooting as they were coming in from really high up on a strong wind and stooping in at high speed in that raptor style. :good:

Packed up at 5 just in time to avoid a heavy rainstorm. Final tally was 88 picked and 7 lost in the crop. :good:, I will make the magic number one day :lol:

That's great going mate,Farmer should be happy with your 'crop protection', I hope you dont mind me sending a word of warning also, if you or anyone out there have a dog? Watch it in the barley, cus them Barley grains will travel deep into it's feet and into the legs, and is very nasty, my advice, Dont take a dog in any Barley crop,EVER, Warm Barrels, Wiz :good: :good: :good:
