None of this will end well. We must embrace all cultures, but this must not under any circumstances erode our own culture. The Police and local council must stamp this out immediately or it will spread. Could we end up with Christian areas only ?. Jewish areas only ?. I blame the authorities for allowing this to happen, the don’t upset them brigade have gone way to far. This will only lead to more nutter’s on both sides and that can’t be good for anyone !.

Benny Hill's Babes, I hope! :P

Hill's Angels, I believe.

On a serious note, self-enforcement is simply a licence for young, chippy, unemployed faux-Muslims (of which there are many) to provoke fights under the guise of religious freedom.

I predict a riot if we have a humid summer, as it will kick off when the pubs close...

I work at night in Brixton, lewisham, Peckham etc etc and i have never been bothered by anyone, the African persuasion are always friendly and i never have any fear of them, we have also worked in muslim neighborhoods and touch wood they leave us alone, although you do get the feeling that they aren`t as welcoming.

Had a Ramadan buffet last night in Goodmayes - outstanding grub and a warm welcome. Some of the other non Muslims there got tucked in before us - everyone else got up from their tables @ sunset (and boy was the queue long for the buffet for a while after that).

As we left and headed back to the car we did pass a "ginga" in full Islamic dress - crazy beard

Can you get into the queue and get your food before sunset but not eat it till after thereby avoiding the queue issue?

Yes indeedy, but we weren't paying quite as much attention to the official sunset time as the majority of people there! Just before the rush a waiter suggested we tuck in, we carried on chatting for a bit and then bosh, there was a queue of like 30 people

I am off to India in just over a week, for a couple of weeks, on business.

Funny the different experiences one has isn't it? I've lived in Brixton and Hackney, I've been spat at, threatened, had dogs set on me, been burgled, had an interesting evening one night in Hackney when we had a drive-by shooting at the family opposite.

Couldn't wait to get out of either one of those two **** holes.

Oh I forgot to add, my flatmate was mugged, three times, always by the same type. Brixton at night is particularly entertaining as you do the crackhead slalom round the back of the tube station.

I like the idea of The Mail being worried about 'foreign' influence being imposed on the UK. In 1938 The Mail was still the mouthpiece for the British Union of Fascists and sucking up to Hitler...

I expect that back then, they would have printed a load of **** about a jew telling someone not to work on a Saturday or some other such jackanory. They printed loads about how Britain would never be the same because of the East End being 'swamped' by Jews.

Remember the 'you are not allowed on the bus wearing an England shirt, as it offends Polish bus drivers' story that never actually happened?
