Cranfield
When does "the wee lassie" get a chance with the gun ? My daughters were quite happy to come shooting and fereting with me as spectators, but were not interested in shooting guns themselves. Good company though. henry d
Get her to Cluny clays for a lesson took mine when she was 15-16 and she thoroughly enjoyed it.They have 20`s and 28`s too,so there will be something to suit. Not only that but both her and her mum are naturals at it,Mum got 23 x 25 on an in-coming dropper and the daughter did well all the way round the stands(shooting 75% or so)til we got to the bolting rabbit and she got about 2 x 10.I then let her use my 12 with cyl & imp and she dusted 4 x 5 Keep at it young ferret lass

Im pretty sure it was either 30g or 32g more than the charge i use now, i only use 28g in a 12bore

HD, Maionchi (spelling?) do a 28g clay and game with a 28gram load of 7.5's. I would however not like to use this load unless it was through an o/u weighing 6lbs or so. We used 21g x 9's through a mates AYA pair of 28's (SBS) when he brought them out to play at our little clay shoot. They were lovely!!!!! Ft Edit. The Gough Thomas rough rule of thumb for the weight of shot to be comfortably put through a shotgun was/is, 96 x weight of shot = gun weight. Which means if you are putting an ounce load (28 grams) through your gun it should weigh 6lbs.
