shame they cant all be as clean shot as these three. cant wait to get them in the pot :drool: :drool: :drool: .

Please set my mind at rest - my first reaction is that they are plump mallard duck - I have just plucked some myself and they have a good layer of fat on them; then I had a tiny doubt they were geese but I don't think so....

 

It is awful when your mind gets confused!

How long did that take you just as a matter of interest?

 

I'm still a beginner at plucking birds but I'm getting the hang of it!

 

 

sorry i didnt get back but our broadband has been down for a couple of days. no longer than half hour each should have them done.

i dont have a method as such, just plucked by hand then the down is taken of with some meth :good:

Some people put a small amount of meth or similar fluid in a small holder, lid of polish tin etc, and light it and use this to burn off any remaining down etc...

 

Well thats what I was taught.

Yup....as above although i was told to roll up a newspaper, light it and just singe it off with that... :good:
