No more pigeon days to be advertised

Thats very sad to hear Fenny. I have also had the pleasure of shooting with Fenny and he gave me invaluable advice and incouragement ,even when i couldn't hit a barn door.

Without knowing the details im in no position to judge but armed trespass is a serious crime and i think others should be aware of such a person.

I hope your relationship with your farmer is undamaged and you do not lose land over this. Your generousity is greatly appreciated and it would be a real shame to let the actions of one person impact every safe shooter. :/

All the best.

I have 1000's of acres of shooting & cover it alone - a few times I have nearly "buckled" to pleas on here from people with no land to shoot on and invited an unknown "Fellow Shooter" along - I really glad I haven't & after reading this I wont be doing :exclamation:

It really is a shame, ive offered plenty of days out and this is always at the back of my mind. As a result i only offer days out to people i know or who have been out with me prior. If your reading this you need to fess up!

I know it's a tricky position to be in fenny but what's to stop this guy sending pm's to people offering what you did and doing the same to them. I doubt he will own up to his actions so does this guy deserve to get away with it.

Next time he could cost someone their hard earned permission. Not all farmers will be as understanding as yours. Tough decision for you

God but reading these threads does p*** me off.

It is as has been said, difficult enough to find land to shoot over (nigh on impossible in Sussex!) without people giving those who offer a chance a kick between the legs!

No excuse really if he 'chanced his arm'. We all know the deal on here, a favour on someone elses permission is exactly that, a favour, not an open invite!

Edit: I should add that I don't have any farmland to shoot over and as such realise what goes into trying to gain that, and how gutted you'd be to lose it!

I was lucky enough to be taken out on a days pigeon shooting by someone on here, up in Suffolkshire.

I wouldn't dream of going back uninvited  (there wasn't any darn pigeons !!)

It seems when someone gets summat good going, there's always some t1t gonna spoil it fer everybody else.
