dan-250
The thing is if a hatsan lasts a third of the life of a beretta or sx3 then it's still not bad as there 3 times the price. Same value for money. I know id rather have the hatsan and give it ago, 3 years of getting it repaired for note if anything does go wrong . Dekers
Fair enough, i give up everyone who has ever used a hatsan without any problems obviously got a cheap gun with the intentions of saving it for best and the unlucky ones who did decide to try them was all blown to pieces! the poll is a waste of time everyone who is happy with there hatsan is deluded. If you want a cheap value for money semi go get yourself a brand new urika as a hatsan will either kill you or bankrupt you! Come on chap, it is well known that I have possibly the biggest down on the Hatsan of anyone, but even I accept they are steadily improving, the fact is anyone who has a Hatsan that works, appears to be suggesting everyone else knows squat diddly and have never used one. It's the mine is great, and you don't know what you are talking about syndrome, there is a major reluctance to see any other side, absolute piffle to suggest Hatsan are selling more shotguns than anyone else at the moment so they are likely to have more problems, Beretta are the biggest manufacturer of Semis in the world, how many threads have you come across that give Berettas a hard time! I thought your poll was about information, there is little point in anyone who has one that works (currently) knocking those that have had a problem, that is unrealistic and immature. My Lad grew up using Berettas, I bought him a Hatsan because I thought it seemed very good value, I should have worked out that ANY shotgun manufacturer that include spares in the box when you buy it had some issues! This is going round in ever widening circles now, time to put it to bed! ATB!

Its fine if you think of guns as disposable but personally most of mine are capable of lasting much of a shooting lifetime. Yes cost is an issue but when you look at owning a gun 20 years or indeed an awful lot longer you might as well buy something that will last and not annoy the hell out of you as when it fails you can guarantee it will be when you least want it to. As for you Terry 3 of them you could have bought one decent one and not needed 2 spares

bicykillgaz
High Dekers, Alex. Im not blind to the fact they are a cheap gun my last post was written before my painkillers kicked in so was in a grump, yes the poll did show what i wanted which is that there not all that bad i didn't expect every hatsan owner to building shrines to them, i expected more moaning if Im honest. If i was in a position where i could justify paying 1000+ for a shiney new al391 20b to use for what little shotgun work i do actually do i would happily get one, but i go crow bashing once in a blue moon and use it on fox as my current permissions i wouldn't risk a center fire on. Im under no illusions which will last the longest and hold its value, but my gun fits me i shoot as badly with it as i would any other gun and I've had no problems what so ever with mine and neither do a vast majority of owners. I agree this one that will go on for ever, i just thought a poll from owners would be a better way of judging there reliability than most of the threads which get started. And Alex if i want a gun to last a life time of trouble free shooting ill get another Baikal, not as pretty admittedly but will definitely stand the test of time and the wife is less likely to kill me for spending 150 compared to 1500. As far as I'm aware all the latest Beretta Semis are rated 21g (my 391 has no problem), Hatsan are not...you were lucky, and this thread can go on forever like this, and I know someone who......... al4x
Why would you buy a hatstand with a new beretta in the cabinet?
daz2202
Internal mechanism cracked on mine. The gun was seriously miss treated up the estuary. However it was 3 years old and I felt I had got my Monies worth from it. BUT. Spoke the Edgar bros to try and get the parts and they said it was in warranty by one week and to send it to them. 3 weeks later it came back, same stock and barrel but the rest of it was all replaced. Superb service for a £350 gun so no complaints from me. Daft thing is never used it since it's return as bought a ulrika while it was away

CZ550Kevlar
mine is 2 years old and put thousands and thousands of carts through it in snow, rain and everything else and never had a problem.
