Catweazle
Could I ask what you need them for ? If it's for low recoil use there are some very soft-shooting 21gram 12gauge loads available.

If it's for low recoil use there are some very soft-shooting 21gram 12gauge loads available. its for a mate of mine who has a shoulder injury and has a clay day in the future . on advice 20g with a softer 21 load will mean he can keep his 12g just shoot it as a 20g

They are very soft shooting, I very much doubt that a 21g 20gauge load fired from an adapter would recoil much less and I'm sure you would miss the decent pattern and choke. humperdingle
21gram loads from a 12 bore are very light on the shoulder. Google "Gaugemate". It's a U.S. company, but do ship to the UK.
BSA-airgunner
That might be a solution ...thanks
dougall
I have not shot with inserts before but think it would be a load of faffing around whereas the 21g comp x 12gauge would do the job without all the faffing?..save your money. ATB +1 for comp x 21g 12 gauge they are very light on recoil !!!!
Vince Green
Reducers have a very short barrel length and the powder doesn't burn properly giving an underpowered cartridge. I used a .410 one years ago but there was always lots of unburnt powder.
Vince Green
You can order them dire t from little skeeters in the states should just get here in time They have a chamber and a barrel so they come under the firearms act for importation. Probably fall foul of US export laws too. They are legally a firearm Edited February 21, 2012 by Vince Green
david hunter
and it gets ejected with the cartridge.

I use 10 -12 so I can shoot my dads old fowling piece cheaply when we want a play Edited February 21, 2012 by welshwarrior

Guest cookoff013
just buy subsonics in 28gram or 24gram, either one of those would be a compromise between recoil and performance. thats if you cant get comp x. cook.
welshwarrior
Just read your reason for wanting them use 21g hull comp x or similar there is no real recoil 21g is 21g whether 12 or 20 or 28 bore. I found the gun weight a bigger issue when I dislocated my shoulder the 12 was just to heavy so used a 28 bore and well feel in love with it. Woodbepigeonshooter
I have some little skeeters from 12g to 20g and they are alot of faff. To use clay shooting would drive u bonkers. I guess they would be ok to use for the odd shot at vermin Use 21g Hulls ...... Best advice
