TrapFiller
A new world record has been set unoffically for the longest known shot with a 12 bore. 155 yards was achived by Glenn Buckley. I want to congradulate him on a good shot. Not sure in fact in pretty sure i couldn't make it .

PhilR
It would be handy if you gave a little more information here. I think there's a small article in Pull! or that freeby clay shooting mag.

EdSolomons
Vertical teal measured out every shoot to take into account wind etc.

timps
How long was the Digweed shot @ Bisley Live? Anyone’s guess as it was not properly measured.
shaun4860
How long was the Digweed shot @ Bisley Live? It was supposedly 130 yards, dont know what type of target though ie crosser/teal
Dunkield
It was a teal, but as Timps says it was only paced out not measured properly - and he only has short legs I guess there are different degrees of unofficial'ness

Hamster
With the greatest respect lets not get too carried away with what's only really a bit of fun. This is not something worthy of putting a name to in the Guinness Book of Records. If you give a C class shooter enough time, clays and 36g no. 5's he'll hit one at 200 yards. HDAV
With the greatest respect lets not get too carried away with what's only really a bit of fun. Thats what 99% of the world records are....... Bit of fun!
clay shooter123
Also the distance measured is along the floor, not to the actual target, the higher the target the further away it is. (This is if the target is going dead vertical of course).
Emmsy
the only bonus this can have is by restricting it down to a 28gm sporting load, then when proven that clays can be broken at 100+yards they might start throwing more stuff out past 40yds in regular comps
HDAV
28g of 6 shot (max size allowed for English sporting)?
Sandbank
Ironic, stuff getting broken at 130+ yards Had a simultaneous quartering rabbit and fast dropping crosser. So close you could almost hit them with a stick. Most people were struggling to score more than 6!!
bornfree
155 Yards thats nothing.i knew an old boy who shot a cormorant and killed it at 175 yards he used 1oz 6shot cartridge in a spanish sxs. the cormorant was taking fish from his pond but as there was no cover he never could get close enough to shoot it.so he noticed it always landed on the same rock before fishing so he set up the gun facing the rock put a bag of sand on the stock and tied the end of a fishing line around the trigger and ran back to his house and shot the bird from his kitchen window. can anyone beat that. bornfree
