mad1
Morning all Any idea how much I would expect to pay for a " tidy" respray as I would like a bit better finish than a roller finish I am not after a concours finish but just a decent finish ? I would not care but I am a sprayer by trade ( powder coating  only now ) I do not want to spend more in a paint job than the landy is worth .... Any one round northeast you recommend ?? M1 Ps: or can you get a decent finish with a roller and a specialised paint for the job now Edited March 13, 2012 by mad1
Chr15j
I have had respray quotes on a car between £800 and £4000...go figure!
james boy
about £1000 to respray the hole lot and it would be more if you have dents to take out

M1 Ps: or can you get a decent finish with a roller and a specialised paint for the job now You can get a pretty good finish using a synthetic enamel with a foam roller and a bit of practice to get the paint viscosity right for the roller(s) / brush that you're using, tough as old boots and easy to touch in scratches. malkiserow
I've known of 2 both at about £1200 - result was good but not good enough for winning club competitions
Cosd
If you can strip it down before it goes to the garage and fit up again after paint job you will save ££, and if you can prepare for paint you will save even more £££ You should get a few quotes as they will vary. It's very hard to guess what it will cost without seeing the car and finding out what finish you expect.

Luckyshot
This cost about £160 in materials alone when I painted it last year. Depending on what colour you are going to do it ie; solid 2k or clear over base you could be spending £200 on materials easy or lower end minimum of £100 for materials. Get the rollers and brush out. Alex C
I remember reading something by an american fella, i think it was called either the 100 dollar or 50 dollar paint job. Step by step instructions on how to do a roller finish and still get fantastic results. Give it a google and see what comes up
