Jonno243
BASC, SACS et al could save themselves an absolute fortune by closing down their legal departments and just drawing their advice from threads like this...

hedd-wyn
I must admit I never thought of that, in Cumbria I think they are all civilians. I wasn't sure myself to be honest but there's two in our county, one's a civilian, and the other's a police officer. He used to be on the armed response team with my old man. I always put on my application the wording "to my knowledge i have put everything down but please check on your records and let me know if i have missed anything out" I know i had 3 points for a bald tyre and a fine for a noisy exhaust around 25 years back cant remember the date or exact year, i think filling in SGC and Firearms application forms can be daunting for the first time and easily miss something out when you are filling it in. Yes that is an offer we could do, but unfortunately we only have left footed ones, I could throw in a free bore gauge? Our legal department is 2nd to none as we use Fraser from dad's army and our insurance is underwritten by Barings Bank.

If I'm right footed will it cause me problems? I remember Fraser well and I always had good interest rates from Barings - a top bank. Flashman
Perhaps the issue is the OP's failure to disclose the two incidents, rather than the seriousness of those events? For example, two speeding offences in the dim and distant past will not affect an application. However, not bothering to disclose them shows a lack of respect for the process. The warning on the application form is clear: everything must be disclosed, regardless of how long ago it occurred.
