pin
The other day on wheat stubble with a few cheap placcy deeks I had a treat of 7 or 8 geese circle the pattern and then land. Obviously I put the gun down and just watched them, tried to get a pic but only had the camera phone on me and by the time I found it in me bag they had flown off. Not sure what kind they were, but the just landed and honked a bit, then flew off as I tried to take a picture. Anyone else had this happen? Or anything else land in their pattern? tosspot
last year had the copper chopper hovering over my pattern turns out they were more interested in my motor it was parked up at the bottom of a steep bank under the road they thought it had gone over in an RTA

Bigden
On rape stubble at the week end, One big buzzard gliding round for about half an hour - no pigeons while he was about. I have had sparrowhawks come in and nick pigeons which have been shot. They drag them to the hedgerow and have a good feast and while they are getting stuck in its very hard to move them along !! Cranfield
Over the years I have had geese, ducks and a heron land among my decoys. A young fox stalked them and he couldn't understand why they didn't fly when he jumped among them.
young gun
When decoying a stubble field near a pond i once had a group of about 7 teal come flying into my decoy pattern they didn't land but made several passes and each time looked as if they where about to land. I've also had a young buzzard try to take one of my plastic decoys at the same location it came flying in low and was only a couple of inches off one of my decoys before i stood up and upon seeing me it turned and flew off it must have only been 10-15 yards from me. Lancs Lad
Had Mr Fox sit there and look at my deeks for about 5 mins.... Had to send a warning shot over his head with the Air Rifle to get him to ****** off. Thought it would be quite funny when he pounced on a plastic deek but he just sat and stared........ Hes a bit daft this one.......cant catch rabbits either...........Left him some guts and heads last night for his tea from the two bunnies I had. craftycarper
had a common buzzard land next to the coy's, wandered up to 1 pecked it to see what was going down, then flew off. I gather he didn't like the hollow sound....

I nearly ****e myself it just came swooping in from behind the hide then bang I dont know who it shocked more me or him when he hit a plastic pigeon that turned out to be a bit more solid than he was used to

Zapp
In one of my first posts I mentioned a buzzard which had taken an unhealthy inteest in my deeks. Made me laugh at first until it took a shell decoy, flew off about 200 yards outside of my permission and dropped it into a wood! ZB
TOM'S DAD
I've had peregrins try to take pigeons on the magnet several times in the last couple of years. Roe deer, foxes, Pheasants and partridges all walk through pattern, it is amazing what you see even if you are having a good days pigeon shooting. Took a photo of a Hare two days ago,(see Sporting Pictures), doesn't look that close but it was only about 10 yrds from the front of the hide. Was impressed with my Springer, Teal, who just sat and watched it slowly move across the front of the pattern.
Nildes
Had four fantails from the farmhouse land and join in. At first I was annoyed but then realised they added a lot of life to the scene so I let them be. Sure enough, plenty more targets arrived
