uk shoot wearhouse problem

Recommended Posts

ok so i ordered a monster holdle from uksw on the 2nd of may. received my order despached email on the 3rd saying it is dispatched fort result excellent service will be here soon.got to the 10th of may and had still not received my bag so sent them an email and got one back saying it had been signed for and received on the 4th of may???

now the parcel was being delivered to my partners address as i am not in to sign for it all the time and hate waiting for things.he sir name is completely diffident from mine and the address nothing alike. now my sir name is wilson and there saying it was signed for at her address by an s. wilson, no one in my family has a first name beginning in s and there should have been no sign of my last name on the parcel only on the paper work due to me being the billing address. the parcel should have had her name and address on it nothing to do with me and my address.

now it just seems to me a bit weird that apparently an s. wilson signed for it, sounds as if someone has looked at the paper work, guessed an s as an first name and just put my last name even tho it should have not been visable from out side the parcel. delivery guy?? or not sent??

im sorry to go on about this but all seems a bit weird to me, anyone else experienced this?

have heard all good things about the company so has surprised me.

i have emailed them so waiting to hear the verdict, will be annoyed to say the least if i have to pay to put this rite.

To be fair i think you should have waited for the response before you posted this

Never had a problem with the mentioned company and im sure they will sort it

hmmm maybe. just unsure of the situation and as said heard nothing but good things about them thats why i chose them to order from and the dispatched date was so quick i was well impressed just asking for peoples forts, not putting the company down in anyway just want it sorted and what people would do.

UKSW usually dispatch next or even sometimes the same day, and I have had parcels arrive the day after ordering. If they say someone has signed for it, then that must be what the parcel tracker is telling them, I reckon they will have an electronic copy of the signature. Worth asking your girlfriend if anything other parcels have gone missing, also probably worth checking with neighbours in case it was left with them.

I'd give them a call tomorrow to see what they reckon, they will also likely give you tracking ID so you can see for yourself :good:

Sorry Bruno but you're wrong.

Matty's contract is with UKSW.

Only they can sort this problem for him.

:/

I would be interested in the basis of your opinion.

Its my experience that if the Courier confirms they delivered to the correct address and have a clear signature, then the matter should be reported to the Police as a possible stolen property issue.

If I was Matty I would ask for a copy of the signature.

Legally,Alex1Nat2,yes but the op was questioning the reputation of UKSW-"have heard all good things about the company so has surprised me"-my response was with this in mind.In case you are in any doubt-these guys are about 4 miles from me and their reputation is second to none.

have had good service

there is a possible fraud going on with regard to the delivery, i would ring both courier company and uksw and get things in writing.

I have had stuff signed for and courier company adament that i had received it, turned out that the courier had given the wrong parcel to an address about 2 miles away.

However as another poster has already said, your contract is with UKSW not the courier, but worth getting something in writing anyway

spoke to them to day,

they rang the courier to send them to the address to pick it up again and re-deliver but apparantl the courier couldnt remember where he deleiverd it???

sounds a bit strange to me :hmm: :hmm:

but as for ukswh they have already dispatched another out to me and should be with me tomorrow so couldn't fault them and was a genuine mistake.

couriers fault tbh not them at all and they have fixed the problem. :good: :good:

Where the contract lies in indeed a valid point but the biggest problem is having a courier who doesn't do things properly. UKSWH may well be the vendor (seller), but having worked for a mail order company, 95% of delivery problems occur with the courier and that unfortunately reflects badly on the seller.

UKSWH will have contacted the courier, in this case they have given a very poor answer and then re-send the goods and pursue the courier for the cost of the first parcel. The claims procedure is deliberately complicated and long winded to make it almost not worth claiming.

Frustrating as it may be, UKSWH probably have done nothing wrong - the order was sent next day on a next day service and was `delivered`. They have to be allowed a certain amount of time to investigate and re-sending another item in the time they have is commendable.

The joys of mail order I'm afraid. Great when it works but a b@ll-ache when it doesn't.

well in that case I have a problem with a seller on here   ....he sent he item with Royal Mail but they have not delivered it yet...  I wont go after the seller...more RM for being a load of muppets as once you have sent the item and have proof you are giving your trust to the parcel company
