The Jackson
Guys, I'm thinking of purchasing a MTC scope. Not sure which one yet. My question is 'are they any good in low light condition shooting'?? If anyone has any experience using them, I'd be grateful for feedback

The Jackson
I was considering putting one on a .
ajm1979
A pal I shoot with has the 6-24x56IR Taipan along with a zeiss diavari he has put the diavari on his .223 for foxing and put the MTC on his brand new Sako .243 and has no problems with it, not quite as clear as a zeiss obviously but at the money a cracking bit of kit and holds zero no problem on an un moderated .223 and moderated .243. I'm getting one to go on my Tikka t3 .243 i've been that impressed with it.

Sub Nova
How do you guys find them in low light conditions or out lamping? On the MTC spec sheet they only list them as a daytime scope, this put me off a little.
landrover
i have had no bother using them with the lamp,

SakoQuad
I have Vipers and a Mamba on my guns and rate them highly for the money. I use them lamping and they do ok, I sometimes wish they were a bit better in low light but I just don't think you will find anything in the price range that would do better. A friend has a Swarovski scope that cost nearly 4 times as much second hand as the Mamba cost new and THAT is good in low light! I wish I had bought a second hand Connect when I had the chance for the extra field of view useful especially when lamping.
northeastshooter
used the taipan afew times on the lamp and cant fault it but most of my shooting is done in dawn or dust with this scope and i wantnt hessitate to buy another
mick miller
The Genesis is a complete departure for mtc, it is simply superb in all conditions especially at low light. Read the comments made in the Leopold vs. Genisis thread. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/207005-leupold-vx-11-3-9x50-or-mtc-genesis/page__pid__1780284__st__30#entry1780284 Edited May 15, 2012 by mick miller
