jacksdad
As above, I'm looking for a decent pair of wellies, not got a huge budget but want some that are good for wearing for 3 hours at a time, mine are bog standard cheapo's and give me blisters after an hour! Not bothered about branding etc. just your personal recommendations please
sky gipsy
I got a pair of Seeland neoprene lined, full zip boots last year from John Norris at Penrith. Very comfortable & VERY warm. Check this link out (none of the above bots left though, unless you are a size 3 or 14, but they do have the non zip version). There are many well below your budget. http://www.johnnorris.co.uk/shop/ty_241-footwear-wellingtons-and-boots ATB S.G.

finreid
ive got some aigles, which are great, but try and find some toggi boots. neoprene lined, and less than a hundred quid. most saddlery shops have them. i had them before the aigles and wore them for about 3 years before loosing them!! dan-250
Gotta say my avon muckboots have been bang on, very comfy, and toasty in the winter.

Kes
My Hunter neoprenes would fit a woman better - smaller legs, my turkey legs dont fit in them that well. Also and most importantly, the red lining leaked when hot and caused a rash and a ruined pair of trousers - not recommended - Pesky fox's look worth a punt. crosshair
Another vote for Avon Muck boot, very comfortable and warm in the winter. To be honest I hate wellies but these are something different.
Yoggy
Gotta say my avon muckboots have been bang on, very comfy, and toasty in the winter. Another vote for the muckboot Avons. Best Wellies I`ve owned and I`ve had a few!!. Even beats the 150 quid Le Chameau jobs. Over rated in my view. Had 2 pairs, both split within 6 months. Got my money back on both occasions and went for the muckboot...3 years later still wearing them.
jacksdad
Thanks for the help peeps! Looking at the Avons and these seem the best price: http://www.ibstocktackle.co.uk/muck-boot---avon-2228-p.asp Last thing: I take size 9.5 or 10, which size do you think in these? dan-250
Not a bad price, I got mine of the bay at 48 or 52 can't remember. But get the size you take in your normal shoe, you won't need extra pairs of socks or your feet will overheat haha Edited June 26, 2012 by dan-
