bruno22rf
My lads 20g was unreliable when we first bought it-turned out some eeejit had put the piston in backwards-it still cycled most shells in that state though (its an early one-dont know if that males any difference) but works well now,
subsonicnat
Eley First 65mm cartridges are the cheepest on the market if you want to keep with Eley go for the Olyimpic 70mm and you may find no more jams ive heard a lots of things about the Hatsan Escort Magnum 3.5" you pay for what you get I Have got the 3.5",, I think its the best yet, and the old type (push pin in)... it has worked bob on for me every time, only when I put **** cartridges through it does it throw a wobbly, So did the gun my mate had in the same hide, Both fouled up terrible, changed cartridges never had any more trouble, don`t listen to the blokes who HAVE HEARD, I own one and wouldn`t change it:

subsonicnat
I think coming in on this thread, some may be missing the POINT: It 3.5"; Crikey its made to handle very heavy loads, if you want to shoot 25/28 gram get a 3" or 2:3/4": This gun was designed for heavy shooting :Wildfowling: GEESE loads: If You want to shoot a few clays, Buy a 2:3/4 and stop moaning about ejection from a Gun that was NOT Designed for it: Oh Lor::::
b3n82
Hi all! I have a 1999 very early hatsan escort magnum in 3.5" and I'm having problems with the cycling. I use 32g number 5's 70mm the first 2x cartridge's are perfect and fire as quick as I can pull the trigger! However it won't feed the 3rd cartridge? I have to press the loading tray button and then re cock it to load the final cartridge. I was told it maybe the magazine spring being to weak to push the last cartridge through I have changed this today and still no joy? The gun is a great tool and I can't bring myself to get shot of it! Any information on this issue would be most welcome! Please help!! Cheers Ben. Cranfield
Assuming its well cleaned, I would guess it was the spring causing the problem. Check the spring fitting, replace the O ring and drizzle some motor oil on the outside of the magazine tube would be my suggestion.
Sco77w
if they strip it ask then to clean the gas ports in the barrel ,the thing with semis is they use gas to cycle them and they like to be clean
Westley
Since changing cartridges not had a problem cycling, will be running out of the Hull inter comp 28g shortly and will be trying some others as the 28g's are no longer availiable. Try the Hull Superfarts, work well in my auto, felt or plastic.
M37
My Escort Magnum was a bit hit and miss with 21g's on the clays, today. It's just been cleaned and oiled and, once it'd warmed up a bit, it was fine. Never had any problems with a game load, though

M37
Was looking for an answer to a question. Decided to search rather than ask again (which I always thought was good etiquette??) then thought I had something to add. Last post was only October, hardly ancient. M37
Kibworth. On a whim. Bumped in to a couple of mates up there and had a jolly old time The Escort really didn't like the light loads, early on. It's a new 'O' ring and I always keep it clean. Can only think there wasn't enough umph to properly cycle the gun
