Dave-G
The items I linked to in the first post here will do more than you need for .22LR - and HMR for when you get them - which you more than likely will : http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/211717-modified-led-lamping-torches/
steve_b_wales
An excellent lamp, either hand held or scope mounted, is the Cluson Blaserlite. It's 2 million cp and is lightweight. Filters are also available for it. I've used mine for many years without any problems.

blackbird
Looking at your results I would stick with the lamps you have now, I have a lightforce 170 but it's way to powerful for Rimfire use.
