Albert 888 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Share Posted September 27, 2012 (edited) I have a sx3 and a webley and scott 810. the webley is great and the sx3 is ok.they both work well only differance is the sx3 is twice the price and will take 3&1/2" cartridges.would recomend both. All of the above are great, my personal favorite being the Benelli as many others on here will vouch for to and with no gas parts easy to clean to and the americans and canadians love them too, for a good reason to ! Always like the benelli's myself and have the Crio, a lot easier to clean with no gas parts. Now tin hat on time just bought a escort for the wet days (latest version), yes its cartridge fussy (don't like soft cartridges) unlike Benelli's, takes longer to clean as with all gas cycling guns. Looked at a pump but decided not to get one as don't think I could pump it quick enough when using it on clays. The Beretta A300 outlander and the SX3 are both worth looking at, try and handle them to see which suits you the best, as semi's can feel / are shorter on the stocks than say a o/u and felt with some models they need the stocks lentghening before they would even feel right. WinchesterDave Posted September 28, 2012 Report Share Posted September 28, 2012 (edited) whats the diffrence between the composite and the black shadow The composite model has a thing called perma-cote ultra touch finish covered over all external metal parts like barrel/receiver etc. Designed to help stop corrosion. I don't know what The black shadow version finish is, but it's not got the perma cote covering on it so there for Probably Not as tough as the composite. I'd go for the composite model if you want it for use on the marsh. Mines been wet and absolutely covered in mood and the gun is still as new after cleaning! Figgy Ok without the risk of me sounding a right 2hat,why is the grey one dearer than the black one if not better quality. The grey one could be had for £750 3 year ago and is now £850 and the black one is £750 now. I have the grey one but would prefer it in black if the same quality. I think its due to the anti corrosion finish? My cammo has this under the wrap. I think anti corrosion is a good thing for you as i realise your fondness for finding deeper water LOL The silver finish doesn't seem to flash and duck probebly see it as water anyway- perhaps you might sit a deek on it? think about it will's glow in the dark beretta seems to work Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
