Frenchieboy
I spotted this video on another forum. I don't know if many of you have seen it yet but it certainly well worth watching and asking yourselves "Why can't humans show such loyalty to their freinds?" This is one amazinggy loyal and brave friend!
philm
Unbelievable!!
MM
Unbelievable!! Not really Phil. CCTV can show us something we WANT to see, but the reality is something different. That dog isnt dragging the other to safety, but is dragging it off to be eaten. Wild dogs will eat each other without a second thought. When they get hungry enough in the wild, they will just turn on the weak or young and eat them to save the pack. I bet all he is thinking about is food. philm
Why didn't it use it's jaws and four legs to drag it then? why's it still alive?
Frenchieboy
I can see where MM is coming from with his comment but I really do not think that is the case with this little dog! I believe that in this case it is nothing short of true and loyal friendship. It's such a pity that humans don't often display the same sort of loyalty to their friends. station
I guess this shows that there are some optimists and some pessimists on PW I like the idea he was saving his mate, so that's my stance
oscarsdad
I think it is his mate-why would he not just eat him there and then or at least finish him off....maybe part of the same pack.
Catweazle
I'll go with the rescue scenario, dogs do look out for each other.

andypaint
Looking at it, doesn't look like first dog survived being hit. Looks very dead. Very sad to see being a dog owner, and very clever animals. I read somewhere that a dog has the same intelligence as a 3 year old child. Boromir
I too believe a dog will help out another one of its own, if they have known each other. When I had my two labs the older one did save the younger one from another dog attacking him.
-Mongrel-
I too believe a dog will help out another one of its own, if they have known each other. When I had my two labs the older one did save the younger one from another dog attacking him. They will certainly help each other out. My lab was getting a pasting off an Alsatian only a week ago, aforementioned Alsatian got a bit of a surprise when 8 1/2 stone of ****** off Ridgeback X Mastiff came out of the wood at full tilt and just charged it with his chest before giving it a proper duffing! That's pack mates for you. All I could do was watch from a distance until I managed to close the gap and pull the big fella off, at which point the Alsatian made a sharp exit!
