I wouldn't attempt a shot past 25 or at the most 30 yards with my bow. But some of the really nice (and pricey) bows they're making now can take deer out to 50+ yards. It was passed in law and has never been challenged. Bow hunting over the pond is massive, with numbers in the six figures being taken.
