Coming from using my muck boots where i have been having to use 3 pairs of thin socks to stop them from rubbing my heals (also putting plasters on before i go out)

Ive just bought some Le Chameau wellys, should i be able to get away with just the one pair of socks? I was thinking about using my sealskin socks?

Bit of a random question but seeing as i will be out all day beating i done want to end up with blisters

So what do you wear with yours?

After using normal poo wellies then going to my chameau's I'd just go bare foot their like silky smooth warm padded gloves for your feet. Why didn't I buy a pair years ago...

Yeah one pair of socks work a treat.

What was wrong with wearing 1 pair of good quality socks with your muck boots maby wearing 3 pairs of socks did the chaffing of your heels. I have worn muck boots for years and appart from sometimes getting to hot on a warmer day I have never had any problems. Were they the wrong size in the first place? and why wear sealskin socks if the boots are waterproof?

Ive worn my mucks for a couple of years now with just 2 pairs, one thin pair and one pair of long socks but for some reason this year they rubbed the back of my heals everytime out, last time out i put 3 pairs on with plaster and they where fine.

I used The Le chameau wellys today, and i have to say that they are in a different class. Warm, comfy and no rubbing.

Found exactly the same re heel rubbing with Muck boots,I think it`s because they grip your calves rather than fitting

the foot.Have Derwents and find them deadly on mossy wet upland ground too, relegated mine to be work wellies.

Le Chameaus are the most comfortable wellies that I`ve had.

Why wear waterproof socks in wellies??!

You are better of with one decent pair of socks, cool max do some great anti blister pairs.

Yeah just used the one pair with the le chameau yesterday. They where great. I will have a look at the cool max

Le chameau = comfy, just wear a pair of ordinary socks.

Just used the one pair of long socks and found the boots sooooo comfy :good:

From going from the mucks to the le chamaeus i am really impressed, Ive never been a fan of wearing wellys as i prefered walking boots. But its a different story with these wellys
