I've had two Remingtons - they are just too heavy!

Ah, well, if'n youse wants a *light* pump, the one to go for is the 20 guage Ithaca *Ultra*light M37. The "ultra" means that the receiver is machined from aluminium and not steel like the "Featherlight".

I wouldn't have said that the 870 was heavy; if you want *heavy*, then you'd be looking at a Higgins M20 (from experience) or a Browning BPS (by reputation).

Regards,

Mark.

I quite fancy a pump for rough shooting, are there feed issues with say a 3.5 chambering 2 3/4 carts? Are the cheap hatsans ok for the money? Not wanting to hijack the post but very curious as will be shopping for one in the new year. And they do seen less bother than an auto.

There should be no problems - one of the advantages of a pump is that they will reliably cycle anything you can throw at them.

Hatsan are great value for money, frowned upon by many but a cheap reliable gun. I can't fault my Hatsan pump.

Got a moss 500 atp 8shot on pt1 fac and I really like it. Tthe only slight fault is that it is 3in chambered and when it has the full 8 of 2-3/4 you really have to rack it quick or it will spit out 2 onto the elevator. After this has happened a couple of times you get the knack of putting a finger up through the elevator and pushing one out and rolling the gun and the round comes out the port. re-rack the other round on the elevator. Sounds complicated but a blink of the eye.

Pump On.
